Mother Clucker Fried Chicken Festival – Atlanta 2017

Hey Atlanta Friends! We hope to see y’all at The Stave Room at American Spirit Works Sunday, April 30 from 2-5!

We’re bringing all our pickles to taste and purchase AND our new cheese spreads! If you haven’t had a chance to taste our Hot Mess cheese spread …made with aged white cheddar and our own pickled jalapeños… this is your chance!

And… we just got word we’ll be set up right next to our PHriend, Tiffany from Lazy Goat Produce! We love pairing her pepper jellies with our cheese spreads! 

Over 20 Atlanta area chefs will be frying Springer Mountain Farms Chicken in all kinds of yummy ways! We’re looking forward to tasting what D.B.A. Barbecue does with it. We hear they’re gonna smoke the chicken and then fry it…YUM! 


We got a little carried away while painting crates for our table display today and decided to paint one of our paper sacks!

We’re gonna use it at the festival to collect instagram names for a giveaway! So…be sure to stop by our tasting table & drop yours in the bag!

Bahn Mi Relish – Yummy With Grilled Fish

We had two really ripe peaches left from our sales adventure to
Jaemor Farms a couple of weeks ago….AND we brought back fresh caught Wahoo from our sales trip to Saint Simons yesterday. So….we decided to make something PHUN!

First , we marinated our Wahoo filets in sesame oil, sea salt, pepper, and a little peach juice from our peaches.

Then we diced our 2 peaches and placed them in a bowl with 2 tsp sesame oil, 2 tbsp diced onion, 2 diced jalapeños, 2 diced Stix (our own pickled carrots) and 2 tsp juice from the jar of Stix & a handful of chopped, fresh cilantro.

Next… We put the mixture in a serving dish and took it outside for a picture in good lighting. And…our neighbors showed up!

We are grilling our Wahoo now and plan to serve this Bahn Mi inspired relish alongside it with sautéed spinach. Wherever you are…whatever you’re up to….HAVE FUN! Eat a PHICKLE!

Maque Choux Salad with Phickles Pickled Okra

It’s officially summer ….and that means lots of fresh vegetables are at the markets and in our back yard. Here’s a quick and easy vegetarian recipe that makes a great side or add a protein containing bean to it (or bacon if you’re a carnivore) and call it a meal.

This recipe is easy to make your own. Change up the measurements to suit your taste and according to the vegetables you have available.
For our recipe: 3 cups cooked white corn (fresh is best but frozen is fine,) 10 of our Pickled Okra, 2 scallions (white and green parts of the stem,) 1 tsp minced garlic, 1 tbsp olive oil, 1 tsp sea salt, 1 tsp black pepper, 4 tbsp pickled okra juice. If you like spicy food…add a whole, sliced cayenne pepper like we did!

Slice the pickled okra and place into mixing bowl with the corn.

Slice 2 scallions and add them to the bowl. Then add the sea salt, black pepper, pickled okra juice, minced garlic, Olive oil and sliced cayenne pepper.

This salad is pretty served over a slice of a good tomato….OR

We decided to slice an heirloom tomato and toss it into our salad…either way is perfect!
